Everything you need to know about our music lessons
Do I need to own a brass instrument before starting lessons?
Yes. Unlike some of our other programs, brass instruments are not provided in the studio. If you are just getting started and are not sure which instrument to buy? Our instructors can point you in the right direction before your first lesson.
Can brass lessons help my child prepare for school band auditions?
Absolutely. Our brass instructors are experienced at preparing students for school band auditions, marching band and jazz ensemble. Let us know your child has an upcoming audition and we will build their lessons around that goal.
What styles of music do you teach?
Rock, pop, jazz, country, worship and classical. Your instructor builds every lesson around the music your student actually wants to play.
How long does it take to learn a brass instrument?
Most beginners can produce a clean tone and play simple pieces within their first few months of consistent practice. Progress depends on the instrument, practice frequency, and goals but students who stick with it consistently always surprise themselves.
What if we need to miss a lesson?
Cancel at least six hours before your scheduled lesson, and you will receive a makeup credit. Makeup credits expire after 60 days so be sure to schedule your makeup before then.
Is there a long term contract or semester minimum?
None. Every student is month to month. If you need to stop lessons just let us know by the 15th of your last month and that is it.
What brass instruments do you teach?
We teach the full brass family: trumpet, trombone, French horn, baritone and tuba. Not sure which instrument is right for your child? Our front desk team can help you figure that out before you register.
