Percussion Ensemble Program Details
The Percussion Ensemble at Rhythm & Grooves is a performance-based program for students ready to take their playing beyond private lessons. Through weekly rehearsals and live performances, students build advanced technique, musical independence and real stage confidence while exploring percussion traditions from around the world.
Whether your goal is to become a stronger performer, prepare for school ensembles, or simply enjoy making music with other percussionists, the Percussion Ensemble is a rewarding next step for students throughout Bartlett, Lakeland, Arlington, Germantown, and Memphis.
The ensemble runs three 12-week sessions each year, fall, spring, and summer, with new songs and fresh challenges every season.

Tuition: $125 per month

Performing Music From Around the World
Because percussion is one of the most diverse instrument families in music.
Our ensemble introduces students to musical traditions from Africa, Latin America, Brazil, Cuba, Japan, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. Depending on repertoire, students may perform on djembes, congas, bongos, cajón, frame drums, timbales, shakers and auxiliary percussion, marimba, vibraphone, xylophone and concert percussion instruments.

Each season builds toward one or more public performances, giving students real stage experience and a chance to showcase their progress. Performance opportunities may include academy showcases, community events, festivals, holiday performances, and educational demonstrations.
