Alanna North

Alanna North is currently pursuing her Doctor of Musical Arts in Violin Performance at the University of Memphis. She has been teaching private and group violin, viola, and singing lessons since 2014. Currently she plays in regional orchestras surrounding the Memphis area and is an active member of the historic performance scene focusing on baroque and renaissance music played as history intended.

She enjoys performing all styles on the violin and is happy to teach students anything they'd like to learn on the violin. Alanna has taught students as young as 4 and as old as 70, and believes it is never too early or late to start. One of her favorite things is teaching brand new beginners who have never even held a violin, and also helping current players further develop their skills and sound on their instrument.
