Ellie Pappas
Ellie Pappas is a flutist, piccoloist, and composer who is currently a junior at the University of Memphis. She is pursuing a degree in Flute Performance under Elise Blatchford and a degree in Music Therapy under Dr. Jim Pierce. She is also studying music composition with Dr. Kamran Ince and has had several of her pieces premiered at university concerts. Her previous flute teachers include Dr. Sabrina Hu and Delara Hashemi.
During her time at the University of Memphis, Ellie has performed with the Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, and Contemporary Chamber Players. She has also taught flute students at local schools, including White Station High School and Houston High School.
When not in school or practicing, Ellie enjoys studying, spending time with family, and teaching Greek folk dancing. She is excited to work with students on their goals and to watch them grow!
