Drum Set Camp
This intensive camp may focus on one or more of the following:
- Proper grip technique
- Working knowledge of four main stroke types
- Quarter note bass drum systems/grooves
- Eighth note bass drum systems/grooves
- Coordination between feet and hands
- Drum set fills
- Applying sixteenth notes in grooves and fills
- Applying triplets in grooves and fills
- Applying rudiments in grooves and fills
- Advancing bass drum techniques
- World styles on drum set (bossa nova, cha-cha, soca, etc.)
- Learning the importance of warm-up techniques and practice habits
- Materials subject to change based on performance of the group

Drum sets are available, but in limited quantity. Students may bring their personal kits, which will be securely stored at our location during the week of camp.
Requirements
Please bring at least one pair of drumsticks, a practice pad, and hearing protection. These items will be available for purchase in our store if needed. Students should bring lunch, snacks, and drinks daily. A water cooler will be available for use.
